Where you been AT?...
Wow - over a year since I posted a comment. Amazing how stagnant one life can manage to accomplish nothing. Like my life, this blog has attracted no traffic, so, I'll write for myself, a world unto myself.
In the past few months, I've tried to secure full time employment, no luck except a lousy stint at a non-profit. They were thankless and minimally tolerant of my presence. I was the kid w/ cooties at school and I'm the only one who didn't know. After a month of endless hours of pretending to be busy, I departed unceremoniously with a one sentence email. Who says non-profits need or want volunteers. The problem as usual is people, they suck w/ their petty agendas, me included.
Upside :D I've become an incredible jogger. 2-3mi. / day in the early morning and double the effort on Sat. & Sun. My feet hurt at times, especially the outter right one, but I love it especially when my breathing rhythm kicks in...I get it. All achievement is rooted in continuity, consistency. Consistency is an essential part of life yet the most challenging to achieve our accomplishments. A side benefit, the incredible weight loss. Drink, eat, high calories is cool. Loving it. I'm definitely going to fight the urge to quit during the challenging winter months. Northeast winters can be brutal during the wee hours, keeping warm or staying healthy jogging in 20-30F...hard. Mega doses of Vit C & E along w/ a normal multi escorted by liquid silver, that's the magic.
I don't have a next move or plan. Maybe another non-profit in addition to the job search. I've been browsing different avenues, particularly writing, marketing ( not panning out, volunteer fall out). I'd hate to return to accounting, I didn't like the vibe or the work besides I was a complete failure.
That's it, I'll make a better effort to write for myself, the only one.

Nevermind
I was going to gripe again, but what's the point when nothing ever changes. So tonight I pass on the eve of the first entry onto this blog.

Feel good & light hearted movie, def. NOT ME
Gobbled down some natural sleeping pills last night and for once got a decent slumber. I feel better for once.
Watching Julie & Julia w/ Amy Adams & one of my all time fav actresses, the heavenly Meryl Streep, love seeing her, period. I thought this would be a stupid bubble headed boredom of 2hr nauseating female bonding over boiled water. I got schooled by both delightful ladies. The love these women have for their husbands and discovering life tasks. Again, bravo to Stanley Tucci for his provincial yet omnipresent performance, perfect balance of the man behind the woman. Always the thoughtful, gracious actor.
Just read the opinion of Ms. Childs' on Powell's blog, she hated it. Bit of a disappointment, but I still like the movie and the producers/creators of the movie did a magnificent job of splicing J. Child's auto w/ Powell's blog. A confidant of Ms. Childs fears a movie could be depressed or trivialized by this exhuberant presentation. I so strongly disagree, it has introduced a culinary giant to a new generation of gastric enthusiasts. The timing is quintessential w/ the revival of @ home entertainment in America and a fleet of fast food addicts returning to the kitchen.
I look forward to a bold, respectful tribute to this queen of cuisine who's voice enthralled me as a child.

Still here?
If you have nothing to contribute or are loved or love, why are you still around? This topic crosses my mind frequently. Since it is Memorial Day tomorrow, I think about fallen military folks, in their eternal slumber, what they may have done and me? I haven't done anything w/ my life, nor am I currently contributing to the greater society and the future will be as fruitless and the present & the past.
I watch too much TV...cook and that's bout it.
But why am I still here?
I stopped caring for people & issues, worthless and stupid. I guess that's why I can't figure out why I'm still here; asked/answered.
If death were known like the foreseeable expectations of taking your next breath as you read this, easy as an eye blink.
No one is in my life, I'm not likable or particularly attractive anymore. I wouldn't want to be around me either if I was someone else.
But what most plagues me is nothing, absolutely nothing or no one for my entire adult life? What crime against existence have I commit ed that this, this is my fortune?
No answers, well I have two secrets that I can recollect, but I thought forgiveness is divine, that's much bullshit. (bitterness is a natural result of complete loneliness and social isolation, its analogous to overeating and obesity)
Why are you still here? Are you whole?

Too stupid & should shut up
Haven't felt inspired to write anything lately, hell almost a yr. My last blog...8/09 many months & no comments.
I couldn't let this idiotic ideal pass w/ making a comment myself. Below is a basic summary, details are available across the web and in text books and school.
This fool, roqabs wrote on 5/28/10, on the new republic website the following: "money is coming from the rich. It's a fact everyone, right & left on the political spectrum, needs to come to grips with:...along with the rich states...send more to the Federal government than they get back." Obviously, this uneducated lamb doesn't understand the tax system nor modern economics in America....Their comment was a response to an article 'Philanthropist' 5/5/10
During the Regan Admin. the tax system in this country flipped on its head, LITERALLY, tax money no longer flowed downward from high earners in support of the federal & state/local tax basis, but flowed upward. The top 10% income earners' salaries exploded exponentially by 200-400% over the next two decades and their tax liability proportionately decreased through amendments to the tax law. Essentially, the GOP asserted during their administrations the rich should be permitted to keep more of their earnings while the rest of society should lose an unfair proportion of their living wage to taxes. Not a new idea, kingdom's, despots, non-democratic capitalist societies functioned globally throughout history in this manner. Meanwhile, the remaining 90% had their salaries stifled, stymied to increase @ 5 - 10% over the same period.
Sufficient to say, if this idiot's idea were correct, then during the last two economic downfalls, of the mid-80's and in 2008, the tax base wouldn't have suffered. 90% of the populous lost the jobs, & their homes, causing their inability to pay into the tax pool, creating record US deficits.
Moreover, the country's infrastructure wouldn't be failing and consumerism in the last 18 months wouldn't have fallen off the cliff of despair and dearth. If the rich truly supported the tax base & supplied the bulk of municipal & federal revenue, the monies received would have gone unaffected. Lastly, historically, tax support corrected by the regular influx of wealth from the upper class, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE! HAS NEVER HAPPENED & NEVER WILL. Wealth, normally comes from the disproportionate disbursement of resources, the bulk of the resources are received by a small minority while the majority receives minimal amounts if any.
Exceptions are the creation of astounding, daily lifestyle changing inventions, affecting the quality of life for the masses. Benefits associated with possession of the new invention outweigh the high cost of personal payment for the product or service...ie personal computer, cell phone, and the 20th century's automobile.
Read, educate yourself, don't be a lamb, that's what the rich want, keeps them safe. Don't want a repeat of the French Rev.

I've got to make entries onto this blog beyond bad days, but yet again, I can't help myself. Today, I'm very saddened by the lost of Senator Kennedy, Lion of the Senate. AMAZING GRACIOUS MAN! He was one of my role models for social consciousness and I was fortunate to see him twice in my life: Once on the steps of Northeastern University in 1982 & again in 1989 @ the Kennedy Ctr in DC, when I had the opportunity to say hello and he graciously spoke to me and asked me if I like the show we had just attended. We spoke briefly about the talents of Lynette McGee, the show and then he departed in his limo. Despite his personal foibles, I will always consider him a gentlemen, kind hearted & fighter for the average American. Unfortunately, his passing this summer can be added to the list of famous celebs.
This has been truly a summer of death I've never seen before in my 40+yrs. Today: Dominic Dunn, son of Winston Churchill and the 'Lion of the Senate' noted for his longevity & ferocity, yet personal compassion. Earlier in this warm season, who can forget, Ed McMann, Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson.. what does this mean? I can't help believe something this way comes, but what? What I ponder awaits all of us, globally. The individuals who have passed have careers with a longevity that have extended several decades; staples of American society, ICONS. WHY? Is it a mercy to miss what comes or a misdirection of the future? Where are we all going and what does the future hold?
Something comes, what, I don't know but I believe those that are sensitive feel it. Tonight before you turn in for the night, say a prayer if you believe, for I don't, so say it for all mankind. I think we're gonna need it :)
PEACE.
