I've got to make entries onto this blog beyond bad days, but yet again, I can't help myself. Today, I'm very saddened by the lost of Senator Kennedy, Lion of the Senate. AMAZING GRACIOUS MAN! He was one of my role models for social consciousness and I was fortunate to see him twice in my life: Once on the steps of Northeastern University in 1982 & again in 1989 @ the Kennedy Ctr in DC, when I had the opportunity to say hello and he graciously spoke to me and asked me if I like the show we had just attended. We spoke briefly about the talents of Lynette McGee, the show and then he departed in his limo. Despite his personal foibles, I will always consider him a gentlemen, kind hearted & fighter for the average American. Unfortunately, his passing this summer can be added to the list of famous celebs.
This has been truly a summer of death I've never seen before in my 40+yrs. Today: Dominic Dunn, son of Winston Churchill and the 'Lion of the Senate' noted for his longevity & ferocity, yet personal compassion. Earlier in this warm season, who can forget, Ed McMann, Farrah Fawcett & Michael Jackson.. what does this mean? I can't help believe something this way comes, but what? What I ponder awaits all of us, globally. The individuals who have passed have careers with a longevity that have extended several decades; staples of American society, ICONS. WHY? Is it a mercy to miss what comes or a misdirection of the future? Where are we all going and what does the future hold?
Something comes, what, I don't know but I believe those that are sensitive feel it. Tonight before you turn in for the night, say a prayer if you believe, for I don't, so say it for all mankind. I think we're gonna need it :)
PEACE.

Smart virus eliminator

Well, I was going to make an entry yesterday but decided to cruise u-tube, other blogs, items to make this blog a bit interesting...something that individuals may wish to read. I was surfin' the net when I received a pop up indicating my computer is infected. Can hear you all now, 'what a fool, I've got swamp land and a bridge to no where to sale to y'a if their that gullible' but the software resembled Vista's MS defender, red instead of green wall. It kept popping up continually w/ ever increasing infections: trojan horses, viruses hell the f@#$g kitchen sink. They had customer support contact w/ IM to assist me, so polite. Deb the REP, provided me a link and in my state of panic I almost clicked it, almost. (psst: fuck the folks who created & spread smart virus eliminator, hope the FBI catches your asses..DIRTY BASTARDS!!) Their pop-up kept requesting a credit card number & blocked me from specific features of internet explorer on my toolbar, my e-mail acc't, mcafee icon, an selective disconnect from the internet. I'm a cheap so-so, so providing my credit card finally raised a red flag.
Instead I contacted the USELESS, disinterested folks @ McAfee for assistance. To my chagrin, they never heard of the supposed virus, Smart virus eliminator, just stated you have a virus, another web-page link, just follow the instructions. Maybe if phone support was aware of the content of the page they provide a link to, they actually would be providing support, doing their job, not just verifying paid subscriptions. Went to the link, the page clearly stated don't download any of their online tools w/out guidance from their technical support, it may permanently damage the computer. How could they guide me if they hadn't heard of the virus and w/out doing, wanting to know the issue how could they guide the customer to the proper solution. But just like the scam artists, prominently on the mcafee site, $89.95 to scrub your hard drive while you monitor the process. Wow-wee, great way to blow ~ 90 bucks, no one needs that money anyway...
Skipped away from their assess too.
Meanwhile, all this time, F@%&g pop-ups appearing and I'm into hour two.
At this point, the panic was at least subsiding, which probably lead me to the MS site.
Now from my previous experiences w/my 1st computer and past issues which ultimately were frequently fruitless. 1st computer was purchased in the summer of 2002 and most of these failures were early on...but in the successive years the MS site was poorly organized...TO THEIR CREDIT this problem has changed substantially
Briefly reading the bulletins under the security section, located some answers; for the remainder of the night I sometimes had two programs running simultaneously, downloaded, system restored to several days back. Once the computer restarted, the malware disappeared , scanned two more times and updated more security programs from MS & mcassfee.
Ultimately, I feel confident that I removed this malware from my computer...no thanx to my security software, mcassfee. It did consume the night and I was a zombie all day long. The time and effort was worth it.
Just be careful of the programs you download, because I think I picked this up looking up the 'Golden Ratio'. I tried to download the mask when I fell into this seemingly pitless hole. Doesn't pay to be vain.

Well let's try this again..I started typing and it was translated into Hindi, very pretty language even curse words. I decided to create this blog mainly because I purposefully isolate myself from everyone for various reasons, as time goes by maybe I'll become more comfortable to confess my social awkwardness. I'd like to discuss a variety of topics and get feedback from a variety of people, if they become interested in talking. For now, keep'n it light and sweet as to not scare folks off and maybe I'll start following others. Signing off gonna cool out for the rest of the night, as much what is left.
PEACE xxxoox
